SOFTWARE ENGINEER · REXBURG, IDAHO

I build tools that make
complex work feel simple.

I like useful products, clean systems, and the exploring unknowns in a problem space.

PROJECTS

Projects that do something.

Three projects that show how I think across architecture, integrations, and real-time experiences.

01

AI CHAT PLATFORM

ModelPass (Work in progress)

One clean conversation. Any model behind it.

A thin, fast chat experience that lets people use multiple AI providers without carrying the complexity of each provider into the interface.

MY ROLE

Built with two teammates. I owned the frontend router and the provider connection layer—the path between a user’s message and the right AI service.

WHAT I LEARNED

I’m most proud of the separation between the Svelte client and Express service, and how little friction remains in the chat experience.

  • Svelte
  • Express
  • TypeScript
  • MongoDB
  • AI providers

COMMERCE

PrintEasy3D

From a 3D model to a print at your door.

A commerce workflow that accepts a Thingiverse link or uploaded model, prices the job, collects payment, and sends the order into production.

MY ROLE

I used this project to explore AI-directed development. I set the product direction and integration requirements while AI produced the implementation.

WHAT I LEARNED

The real learning was beyond the screen: Stripe billing, tax codes, and coordinating external services including Slant 3D’s manufacturing API.

  • Stripe
  • Slant 3D API
  • File uploads
  • Tax handling
  • AI-directed build

03

REAL-TIME, MULTIPLAYER

RoyalType

Typing practice, with friends and stakes.

A typing battle royale where players create matches, invite friends, race in real time, and see the results together.

MY ROLE

I built the entire product: user creation, authentication, session state, game modes, match flow, and the interface around them.

WHAT I LEARNED

I wrote my own authentication service and used Convex to make live match state feel immediate across every player’s screen.

  • React Router
  • TypeScript
  • Convex
  • Custom auth
  • Real-time state

02 / ABOUT

Curious since the
first screw came out.

I started programming at 14 on a Raspberry Pi, after years of taking computers apart to understand what makes them tick.

Software gives me a way to build the exact tools I wish existed. I’m analytical by nature and happiest turning an unclear problem into a clean, efficient system—especially when data structures, algorithms, and backend design are involved.

Teammates know me as a doer: someone they can hand a large, unfamiliar task to and trust to carry it through. I learn by getting the basics running, studying the docs, asking good questions, and then building for real.

Outside of code, you’ll usually find me outdoors or exploring, dirt bikes and snowmachines are my favorites. I’m based in Rexburg, Idaho, and open to remote or local backend and full-stack roles.
